About the Event

Are you always trying to please people and forget what you really want?

Or maybe you like to control everything when you’re stressed?

Perhaps you are always going for the next accomplishment or else you’re feeling something is wrong (and then can't enjoy what you just did)?

Whatever you are struggling with, I hear you!

I have people pleased, controlled, over-achieved, avoided and felt like a victim my whole life!

And it took something major to force me to take a look at what I was doing and even consider something different or better.

After all, I got lots of rewards from pleasing people, and controlling things, and achieving stuff and even avoiding certain situations or getting sympathy from feeling victimized.

However, there were costs and they were getting higher as my life progressed… until one day, I found myself crying on the floor with a phone in my hand and my 3 children surrounding me, also crying.

I felt like I was doing a terrible job as a mother, a wife, a daughter, a business woman, a person.

I felt like a failure, a loser, a burden to others.

But, it turned out that it was the best thing to ever happen to me.


It forced me to finally get some help! It led me to see more clearly what was getting in my way.  What was driving me to do (repeatedly) the “thing I do” and to get (repeatedly) the same results.

Lost opportunities, broken relationships, feeling like an imposter, being ashamed of my parenting, isolating, and not enjoying what should have been a happy family life.

I feared ending up alone.  I feared not doing what I was here to do.  I worried that I would not make a difference.

Once I understood what was happening inside of me- in my brain- and learned how to shift my thinking to another part of my brain,  I started to feel a bit better.

I could recognize the tendencies I had that I thought were helping me ( but were actually hurting me) and then shift into thinking that could support me in responding, believing, saying and doing something more wisely, with more discernment, more openly, and more effectively.

I tapped into the strength and power of this wise part of the brain.  And I was less likely to stay in that anxious, survival part of the brain.

And it came all together in the palm of my hand.
